Group Work
Project Managers: For group work this week, your group will finish modeling everything, including props, characters, and sets. Most of your assets should also be shaded by next week. Your group will also begin rigging your characters, so it is imperative that the character models are finalized before moving onto rigging!
Please make sure that your group members save any texture files they create inside of sourceimages, located in your group’s project folder. Otherwise, other group members cannot see the textures on their computers!
TODO: Finish Character Models and Shading
By this point, you need to finish modeling your characters so that your group can begin rigging them! Ideally, wrap up modeling and shading all of your assets this week as well.
TODO: Begin Rigging Characters
Please make sure your character models are finalized before you begin rigging!
Now that you have characters, begin to create skeletons for each of your characters (focus on joint placement, adding edge loops where deformations happen, and which joints need IK handles).
If needed, make sure to also create blendshapes for each of your characters as well for facial expressions. Note that this must be done before you perform skinning (a later rigging step which is covered next week).
